Choose an industrial FDM printer from the part requirements
A credible shortlist starts with the intended part, not a headline speed or an isolated feature. Record what must be printed, under which conditions, and how acceptance will be checked.
Prepare a comparable industrial FDM shortlist.
Define the usable part envelope
Use the largest expected part and required orientation to define the usable build envelope. Nominal machine dimensions alone do not prove that every geometry will print without supports or segmentation.
Match materials to the thermal system
List the required polymers and ask for documented nozzle, bed and chamber conditions. Material names do not by themselves prove a stable production process.
Interpret speed in process context
Compare speed together with layer settings, acceleration, geometry and quality target. Treat a maximum speed as a machine characteristic, not a guaranteed throughput result.
Plan installation and acceptance
Confirm electrical supply, ventilation, floor space, data workflow, operator tasks and the sample or inspection method used before acceptance.
International RFQ discipline
For international procurement, send the same written requirement to every candidate. A comparable RFQ should separate required facts, acceptable options and destination-specific questions.

- Target quality, tolerance and surface expectations

- Sample, inspection and documentation requirements

Not on its own. Throughput depends on the part, material, layer settings and quality target.

Provide the part, material, dimensions, quantity, destination and acceptance method so a configuration can be checked.
